Working-time records · art. 34.9 ET

Working-time records for small businesses.

FicharPyme implements Spanish employment law: article 34.9 of the Estatuto de los Trabajadores, Spain's Workers' Statute. It is not designed to meet the working-time record-keeping rules of any other country.

Clock in, clock out and record breaks, with the time set by the server and an integrity fingerprint on every entry. No entry is ever deleted or rewritten: if something is wrong it gets corrected, and the record shows who did it, when and why. For businesses under 50 people.

All four entries are still there. The correction is added, it does not replace — and it says who, when and why—.

On the outside

Simple.

A 12-person business does not need the software built for a 1,200-person one. It needs clocking in to take two seconds, and whoever runs it not to have to learn anything.

  • Clocking in is one button

In, out and breaks from the browser, on a phone or on a computer. Nothing to install and no app store involved.

  • Everyone sees their own

Their hours for the month the moment they log in, every entry one by one, and what data the company holds about them. Without hunting for it.

  • In four languages

Spanish, Catalan, Galician and Basque inside the application. Everyone clocks in in their own.

A tablet inside its frame, showing the entrance panel's home screen: a grid of cards with the names of the people at that site.

And where there are no phones, a tablet by the door

The same application hanging in the entrance hall: each person taps their name and types their PIN. An old tablet will do, and nothing needs installing on it.

On the inside

Solid.

What sits underneath has no small-business version. Article 34.9 applies just the same to 8 employees as to 533, and your team's data is just as personal either way.

  • The server sets the time

Never the device. It is stored in UTC with the local date kept separately, which is why the record is objective and does not depend on someone's phone clock.

  • It cannot be edited or deleted

And that is not a promise the software makes: the database itself prevents it, including for whoever administers the server. Each entry is chained to the previous one, so altering one would break the chain at exactly that point.

  • One database per company

Not a column telling you apart inside a shared table. That is article 25 of the GDPR, data protection by design.

And this it does not do

We would rather tell you here than have you find out later.

Biometrics
No fingerprints and no facial recognition. Ever. There is no legal basis for it in Spanish working-time control, and the data protection authority has issued fines over it.
Location tracking
We do not know where anyone is, and we do not want to.
Payroll
It neither runs nor calculates it. You already have an accountant for that.
Shift planning
It does not plan shifts in advance. It records what happened, which is a different thing.

There is no Android or iPhone app either, and that is not an oversight.

You clock in from the phone's browser, like any other website, and it installs onto the home screen like any other app —what is known as a PWA (opens in a new tab)— with no store involved and nobody's approval to wait for.

Because what a native app would really add is the first two boxes above: reading your fingerprint and knowing where you are. Both are ruled out on purpose. What is left is two app stores in the way, an Apple review every time we fix a typo, and a maintenance cost you would end up paying.

An icon in an app store looks great in a brochure. It does not record a single hour any better.

Compliance

The obligation is your company's. We make it easy.

Article 34.9 of the Estatuto de los Trabajadores requires your company to record working time, keep it for four years and make it available to your staff, to their legal representatives and to the Labour Inspectorate. FicharPyme cannot take that obligation on for you, and be wary of anyone who tells you otherwise.

What we can do is explain, requirement by requirement and in full detail, how we handle it.

See what the law requires, article by article

What is coming

There is a decree in the pipeline, and it has not been approved.

There is a lot of talk about the digital working-time decree. It looks set to require considerably more than today: digital records, remote access for the Inspectorate and an audit trail on every change. It returns to the legislative process in September 2026, so nobody can tell you yet that they comply with it. What we can tell you is what we already do.

What the decree looks set to requireWhat we already do today
That the record be digital and unalterableEach entry is chained to the previous one, and neither the application nor whoever administers the server can rewrite it.
That the Inspectorate can consult itThey are issued a temporary read-only credential, limited to the period they ask for.
That every change leaves a trailEvery correction carries a reason, an author and a date, and the original entry is not deleted: both remain.

And if the law ends up tougher than it looks, we will adapt. Not out of generosity: we use this application for our own company, so we would have to do it anyway.

Who we are

Higaltor Technics is a small business like yours.

We needed to record our own people's working time, and we needed to be sure we were doing it properly: that it met the law, and that it was genuinely practical day to day — for whoever clocks in, for whoever runs a shift, and for whoever has to answer if an inspection turns up—.

We looked at what was out there and decided to build it ourselves. It worked so well that we opened it up to everyone else.

  • That is why it costs little and why we do not charge per person. We are not funding a round: we are sharing a tool we already had.
  • That is why it has what is needed and not two hundred features nobody uses. We know which ones because we need them ourselves.
  • And that is why we deal with you directly. There are few of us and we would rather talk to you.

Price

€200/year

+ VAT · any number of employees

  • No per-employee cost, no modules and no surprises. 10 employees and 45 cost the same.
  • Annual payment only, and we tell you why instead of hiding it: it makes billing simpler for both sides and saves the cost of twelve receipts.
  • A free trial with no time limit. You tell us about your business and we give you access until you are convinced. No card and no countdown.
